Jan.17: Time to get ready for camping. Starting up this years version of the web.
Feb.12: Sent e-mail asking for location suggestions & availability.
Feb.13: If we go to Wellesley Island I will bring these photos of what I think B14 area & B38/39 areas look like and set out on a more accurate mapping expedition . Rich T has suggested the area in front of the washroom (B20 and B21 I believe) They were always occupied so I'm not sure what the layout looks like. In the aerial view I created I put B20 near the road...but according to one map I have it may be a "waterfront" or "carry-in" site, so it may be set back from the road a bit.
Feb.17: I took a guess that the sites were either B21 or B20 and reserved them both for June 18th ( Friday night) and June 19th ( Saturday night) with the logic that we could keep only one of the sites if there are just 2 or 3 of us & cancel the other. We had decided the last time that it was getting to be a chore trudging up that hill at B14 and we wanted a drive-in site, so we'll give either of these a try. There is an $18 cancellation fee, so we can take a chance on one of the sites and cancel the other ( I'm not sure which one is the bigger or more accessible of the 2...but as a guess the site B20 is the one that we usually see from where we park the car & often has a tent trailer on it) I think we can cancel ( for $18) up to 1 week prior to the date.
